I’m searching for a 203 skid plate/ 2nd crossmember as shown in this picture. Or in anyone can recommend an alternative to this in order to obtain similar outcome.
Thanks

@thatK30guy have you ever come across one of these?

I have a 1975 parts truck with a TH400/NP203 but I don't remember if it had a skid plate. I doubt it has a second crossmember. I would have noticed that.

Two different plates were offered. One was short like the cartoon pic and other was longer using 8 bolts to hold it to both crossmembers.

I've got more pics but going thru thousands of pics on my files and flashdrives isn't going to be fun.

Pic Found online... this is what Im after..
I think I found a cross member local but no skid plate

That's the older design which uses the 8 bolts to the crossmembers. I have only one of that style and not selling it. The other shorter style I think I have a few.

You're right. I didn’t notice the difference in size until your comment.

What years did the shorter one go to? I have a 1978 with a 203.

I believe the long ones were used in the First Design years up to '76 and then the changeover to the Second Design came out with the shorter plates.

And just FYI, the skid plates are not t-case specific. The plates used in the 73-80 trucks were used under both 203's and 205's. There was nothing about them that set them apart to use for a specific t-case.

The 81-84 skidplates used under 208's were shorter in length but identical in shape to the longer plates used in trucks up to 84.

I have a thread somewhere with pics of the different plates used thru the years.

Anyone able to locate a skid or crossmember? Its not a huge priority but I am interested.
