got the typical 70's th350/203 combo. wanna swap in a 205 for obvious reasons. however, i'm having difficulty finding the th350 version of the 205. from what i've read on the net all th350's came with a 203 after 72. i've found a lot of sm465 versions, with the 10 spline input. i've also researched the cost of a 27 to 10 spline adapter and they seem to be somewhat reasonable. what seems to be unreasonable is the th350 to 205 adapter. eventually i want to do the sm465 conversion so getting the 27 to 10 adapter would have some purpose since i need the 10 for the sm465. bottom line here's my main question. will the adapter between my th350 and my 203 work with the 205? :dunno: they look pretty much the same on the truck at least. thanx

Sorry but they are different, the 203 adapter is about 1" thick whereas the 205 adapter is ~4" thick. Also the bolt pattern of the t-case face is different.

Keep searching buddy. It just takes patience. I finally found mine in a junkyard 60 miles away. But its gonna be worth the price. :)

Where in CO are you?? There is a junkyard near Erie, can't remember the name tho, they had alot of 4wd's, they might have something. If you can't find any, drop me PM, I think I tripped over one yesterday in a junkyard here.

I have owned three TH350/205 combos , they all came out of Suburbans. Don't know why that is , it just is.

Next time your in Cincinnati, come by I'll make you a smoke'n deal on every thing you need to put a 205 in your rig.

I know this ain't the "fore sale" section but I do have a complete set-up.

When I broke it apart to make it easier to move I did notice that the drive sleeve is about killed. I don't think I've seen one with more than 50K miles on it that wasn't worn-out. It's out of a Sub so it has a slip-shaft style rear output.

thanks guys! not to jack it into a for sale/parts needed thread but........i don't get out east too often and can't imagine the shipping on a whole setup.:eek1: if any of you have this part https://eshop.advanceadapters.com/commerce/catalog/product.jsp?product_id=1470&czuid=1145968551502 around, it's really what i need. i can get 10 spline 205's out here all day, cheap, and the $100-150 for the input adapter i can deal with. what just seems outrageous is the $276 they want for this guy.

So what your looking for is a 27 spl in-put for your 205 that's currently set-up for 10 spline? And you also need a th350 to np205 adapter and coupler sleeve? The GM version of what AA is selling can be found on ebay for half the price.

Or am I missing something?

The "input adapter" you speak of has 10 spl. on one end and 27 spl. on the other ?
