Regular married t-case converted to divorced. Absolutely no modifications done to t-case, or parts. Accepts 1410 cardan with DN120 bolt flange.

I used original 27-spline drivesleeve, which I cut in half. Then I welded the flange to it, and turned the final shape to it. Parts were pre-heated before welding to make welds as strong as possible.

Inside the housing is slide bearing and shim, and the flange is held in place with bearing nut.

If someone wonders why, answer is simple: divorced cases are rare in here, and I already had a good t-case, so why not :D

NICE!

can i have it? i want a divorced 205 as well that is a great way! you should make them for people

Question:

Why would you want a divorced 205??

I realize it would give you more room for a longer front drive shaft, but are there any other positives??

give you freedom on a tranny too, i wanted one because i had a line on a 2wd nv4500.

i still want one so my front and rear shafts are the same, reduces spares

Question:

Why would you want a divorced 205??

Originally I was going to use that t-case on a different project, and I sold the adapter because I was going to fab one that clocks the case flat. Not long after that I got the idea of converting 2wd Suburban into 4wd. Then it kind of got out of my hands...

Service. That's one of the reasons I went to divorced. If I need to fix clutch for example, it's much quicker and easier to pull the tranny when you don't have to tackle with 2 shafts and t-case plus shifters.

Also moves weight to the rear axle on an already front heavy vehicle (6.2+D60+winch). I have to cut opening to floor, even with 1" bodylift it wont fit under the floor. Well, just the case barely fits, but with parking brake it comes over the floor 2.5-4" (we'll see when I get everything together).

Front shaft will be longer than rear, so no help in that section.

I've been working with that on my coffee breaks at my work, so no time to make more of them. And that divorcer alone wont do the trick, I need to fabricate mounting brackets, too. Already have a set of Defender radius arm bushings on my desk for that. But before that I have finish the parking brake caliber bracket :D
