205 part number(s) request

Last post for this issue, I swear!

Still can't get the later NP205 4wd indicator switch to work with this 70's 205. Think they changed the shift rail(s).

Can anyone provide me the part numbers from a 1970's GM parts manual for the NP205 shift rails?

Sincerely appreciate it, but unfortunately, they are exactly the same piece.

Can't figure this out, only difference I can think of now is the case, (15591398 for '85-86) or the ball bearing poppet plug ball (5/16") changed size.

FWIW, you can't just change the spring to make it easier to shift gears, that only affects one half of the shifting mechanism. Doesn't enough difference that would allow the 208 shifter to work.
