205 pops out of 2wd

my friend just got a k30 with a th400/np205 combo. he said it pops out of 2wd when going down the road unless you put alittle pressure on the lever. any ideas?

Check the adjustments on the actual shifter mechanism. Also, worn motor/crossmember mounts can allow the shifter to move enough to make contact with the body- this can make it pop out also.
