so im in the process of putting one tons under the k5 and im having some driveline issues. I have a np208 in there right now and the driveshaft angle in the rear is no good. i have access to a 205 and a 208 sye. i know that the 205 would be the way to go because of its beefiness but i was wondering if i would need an adaptor to bolt the 205 to my 700r4 and where would be the best place to get one. thanks for the help.

Nick

This has been covered but I don;t member the details. I don't think they bolt right up. I think there is a tail shaft issue that can be resolved with machining. The 208 ain't a terrible case and it does have a lower crawl ratio then the 205.

if you have a th350 27spline 205 you can use it on a 700r4 with the adaptor from www.automatickings.com they sell them for 80$ US im doing the same thing it kicks some serious but not having to worry about swaping tail shafts and what not cause if it is not a 27 spline adapter u will need to tear down and rebuild the whole 700r4 to accomodate for the 205 and the adapter peices from Advanced Adapters run you prob like 450$ US +

I am curious about this too . As I would like to twinstick the k5 I am getting.

This question has nothing to do with twin sticking. Start a thread about your twin stick questions and I'll see if I can answer them.

I Know how to twin stick . Done it before. I was more saying I am interested as to what it would take to put a 205 behind a 700R4 so I could in twinstick the 205. But first I need to figure what I would need to swap it in . Thank's anyway's I guess I should have been clearer.
