Tore the case apart the other day and had the case dipped. (it all clean and purdy now:D ) and started test fitting everything out. everything but the input bearing matched up.

did some research and found this

http://coloradok5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=71803&highlight=205+input+size

long story short the input OD (of the bearing) is supposed to be 3.5 inches.

that is what the kit supplied to me has. BUT THAT DOSN'T FIT MY CASE???

THE OLD BEARING

I measure the OD of the bearing and it's 3.15". The ID is 1.95 and thickness is .63. Aparently someone had been in this case before because there were two snap rings posing as a spacer:eek1: .(bare in mind these measurements are done with a cheesey vatozone special caliper.)

THE NEW BEARING

the new bearing measures 3.5 OD, 1.96 ID and .78 thick.

I counted the splines and there are 32.

what do I have?

Do I machine the case for the bigger bearing or replace the old??

Thanks

Dan

AWESOME---thank you mike. i feel better now--

what do you thin I should do. bore the case or get the same bearing???

price out the boring of the case.. if you take your measurements in millimeters, it will make a lot more sense..

if you cant find someone to do it for a reasonable price, let me know and Ill hook you up with a supplier and part #'s for the bearings and spacers, and you'll be done for about $50
