My 91 crew cab had a 205, the shifter set up looked like a typical mid 80's 205 shifter but it seems like the stick had a slightly different bend at the bottom (at the t-case).

The move from 2H to 4H is minimal, maybe an 1"~1.5" of movement. The swing to N or 4L is about 4"~6".

its not making into 4h it hits the floor plate and it grinds going into the other 3 gears(I have the burb in neutral)
If it hits the floor plate, grind and modify to make it fit.
You need the trans to be in park, or it will grind trying to shift the t-case.
