For my 91 cummins swap I'm pretty close to being able to run a 1 piece driveshaft and lose the carrier bearing. I can swap the 205 to a slip yoke and make a 5" aluminum shaft.
Is there any reason not to do this? I cant honestly think of any reason not to do this except for the 32 spline slip yoke output shaft maybe not being up to the power levels and might wear out the slip cone or something. 500/1000 is expected.
Cost is about the same for a new 1410 two piece or one piece. Got to build one anyway.
Ive got to pull the twin stick rails for stockers so it will be apart.
