I need a Ford 205 speedo plug thingy that the speedometer screws into that is in the T-case. Not sure if chevies are the same

ok, let me know if you still need one.
I have the rear output housing of a Ford 205 and the speedo cable goes directly into the rear housing and then there is a small bracket that must be part of the cable that bolts the cable down. The Chevy and Ford housings are different because of this. The Chevy housing uses a threaded in adapter.
