so the other day i removed my 205 to replace the adaptor and seals. originally this unit never had the torque rod that supported it to the bell housing which likely led to the cracked adaptor. so i had built my own support to the frame web with gusseted plate and rubber bushings. however when i removed this unit i was shocked on how heavy it was how it never ripped off in a field is beyond me. the case hangs low about an inch bushing between the frame and crossmember so i was thinking about making a skid plate for her. i would secure the plate to the existing crossmember and then to a new piece of channel bolted to the frame behind it but being a heavy beast i was wondering if it would hurt to put some poly rubber bushings shimmed up tight on the rear most part of the t-case which would be secured to the skid plate.. or is this too much support too much frame stress?? any in put would be great.
