Jb conv kit

What keeps the main thru bolt from tightening and pinching the shifters?

Bushing, bolt shoulder, threads bottoming out?

Also, kit included wave washer but not mentioned in instructions

Thanks, Recon0830201529.jpg 0830201529_HDR.jpg

Is is like the factory one which uses the shoulder to stop on the mounting boss?
That one looks like it will be too tight with the wave washer in there.

Yeah that's what i was thinking also
Reason i questioned it was because it looked like my new aa th350 adapter threads are short tapped

I e mailed jb cust last night, waiting on response

Threads bottoming before shoulder hits

Thanks!
Rite now with the shoulder not seated the gap is .073 in, when i bottom tap the hole looks like it'll be half that.

First time doing a 205, PO had original shifter ghetto rigged with a bottomed out not original bolt and a bunch of flat washers to take up the slack, so I'm just trying to get up to speed on how these work

:D

I can’t remember where that wave washer went but Jon will respond, he’s a solid dude.

Yep, mite

I'll find out tonight when i tap the threads a little deeper to let the bolt shoulder seat on adapter

Thanks again to all posters

Heard from john at jb

Wave washer goes between shifters and adapter, if needed for gap.

Tapped adapter deeper, was much better. .040 gap, washer was .046, .006 preload

Then i noticed shoulder still not touching adapter and there is a step on bolt before shoulder. Which means you have to push 1st thread lower

Chamfered to eliminate 1st thread. Now it's perfect, shoulder down, .025 gap, smooth action.

Thanks guys
