okay i pulled the range rail and ground it down per the FWOR article, but now i cannot get it back in the hole. it is hanging up on the ball bearing inside the case that is on the opposite side of the hole from the input shaft. is this ball supposed to move freely back and forth? also i was not paying attention when i pulled it out, which way does the rail go in? are the 3 little notches towars the front input or toward the front output?
thanks

iirc the grouves you ground out go toward the ball thats in the bottom of the hole. Check to see that the front shift rail is in neutural. I think thats what My problem was
those three notches go toward the hole you took the spring and ball out of.
