What size and thread count are the two tapped holes on the pass. side of a 1984 era 208 t-case? The big ones for the brace rod that bolt to the bell housing. Thank's,Cary

Large by huge. 
I don't know the exact size, but I just had to mess with them during an engine swap. I laughed when I saw that they use those 2 freakin' huge bolts to the hold the rod to the T-case, yet the other end of the rod is only held in place by a single 3/8's bolt.

Thank's for the fast reply, I thought the very same thing re. the giant bolts to the little bolt. Lets assume the guys at gm knew what they were doing.
