208 CV Slip Yoke Leak - MIG or Braze

I tried JB weld and it did not fix the leak - it's definitely still seeping from the yoke plug. So, do I braze or MIG it? I have a decent 220V MIG that I can tune down - .035" flux wire currently.
 
Yep, new seal and output shaft bushing. The slip yoke surface is dry, it's slinging ATF from the yoke plug.

There is a plug at the end of the machined spline to keep ATF in the tranny. Typically it is crimp fitted and thus leak prone.
 
Well I finally gave up on JB weld. The yoke hydro locks on compression and forced fluid past the epoxy. I've welded the margin between the plug and yoke. The welds look like crap and it took a few passes to make it air tight.
 
That plug is supposed to have a small hole in it so that the yoke does not hydro lock. If it is leaking from this plug the yoke splines are wore out and the yoke needs to be replaced.

Another symtom of warn yoke splines is the slip-yoke "clunk" when you come to a stop and start from a stop. I think GM even had a TSB on this...or maybe it was Jeep:dunno:

Nope, plug is solid and the yoke is new. Splines on the transfer case main shaft are good.
