208 flange/same as 205?

I've got an 84 CUCV with the stock 208. Im swapping in a late model 205 all 32 spline. The 205 I bought came with a 1410 yoke, and im wonderin if my 205 front flange will fit the front 205. thanks

Yes it will fit, but you will have to get a different seal.

Hmm, I just put a new seal in the 205, are you saying that one wont work? Is it too small or too big? thanks

The O.D. of the 208 flange yoke is smaller than the O.D. of the 205 yoke. The seal part number was posted recently, I'll try to find it.

That would be awesome, I went through somewhat of a time finding them at napa for the 205, luckily they crossed the number off the old one.
