Getting ready to yank the tail cone and replace output shaft bushing and seal, on my 208. Other than getting the speedo gear out what should i look out for.....parts falling out, needle bearings? What say you? I can honestly say that i have never tore into one.
Thanks.....Roger

stick new bushing in freezer few hr before to shrink it a little to help install.

a nice bushing driver for the size bushing will make the job 10x better than tryin to rig somthing.

and slow and steady wins the race. good clean area to work and lay stuff out in order to help reinstall.

and lube the bolts on the axle yoke that hold the drive shaft to the yoke. thay can be a little tight and rusty. if thay dont move fairly easy with a wrench then stop and add a little heat to the yoke right were the bolt goes down threw the body of the yoke and retry. but dont burn your self.

otherwise its a easy job for the most part. :thumb:

get in trouble just pop in here and ask.

Bushing is good:D. Seal was shot do to the PO Syndrome doing a hack job on the slip yoke. Be back up and running for the weekend:waytogo:.
Thanks for the reply.
