A friend has a bronco with a 208 in it but his tcase does not have a slip yoke.Could the rear section from a ford 208 be installed on a chevy 208 to eliminate the slip yoke?

NOPE the output is on the wrong side . you could swap the whole case and use a ford hp d44 or d60 tho . -Andy

the housing there the rear output bolts to the main case looks like it has the same pattern if so then could just the rear output shaft and tail shaft housing be switched?i have a extra 208 chevy and will find a ford 208 this winter and see if it can be done.was just wondering if anybody on here had tried it.

Use parts from a dodge 208 thats what I have seen people do, or just get a 241 and put a SYE on it.

The bolts will line up for the housing but the oil return will not line up when it is bolted together. The ford out put shaft will not work in a chevy housing, it is off by about 1/8 of a inch.
