208 shifter

i got a 208 in my truck, i put a clocking ring on it on the highest setting,i lengthend the rod, adjusted the crap out of it and it still pops out of 4wd hi and low. ive got good bodymouts also

i was thinking about making it cable shifted or make a shifter that connects directly to the shifter on the tcase.

wondering if anyone has done the cable shifter or has any solutions.
