got a question and having a hard time finding the answer, maybe my search skills suck

currently have a th350 to a NP208
buddy just gave me a np205 from a th350 with adapter.

will it just bolt up?
is the output shaft on the trans different or any other little gotchas i should be aware of?

tranny output to long

th350 with 203 OR 205 used short tail shaft.
th350 with 208/241 used a longer tail shaft.

might be able to use a fitzall spacer made for the 700r4 to th350 swap in place and make up the length diffrence that way . there 2" long basicly and go after tranny / before adaptor.

you did get the coupler sleave with the adaptor correct ?

drive shaft lengths diffrent and also slip or fixed yoke was avalible on the rear of the 205 . early front output used 10 spline shaft with older style c/v head over the flat flange of the 208/241/ newer 205 stuff.

male output

male input to tcase

needs female x2 coupler sleave to make the 2 hook up .

should be in the adaptor but check as some can slide out per early or late design

It looks like a very thick wall piece of tube with internal splines, it allows the male output of the trans to attach to the male input of the transfer case

I would guess you didn't get it then...
i'm not sure.
i came home with a pickup bed full of parts including a dana 60, and the 205 was kind of a last minute addition. didnt really check it out too closely.

i'll look into everything i got with it more tonight and see whats up.

Yeah but I have 4.88s on soon to be 37s. I'm looking more for twin stick and fixed yoke. Plus if I ever get feeling fright ill just put a 241 reduction box in front if it

I'd leave the NP205 on the bench till you either break your NP208, or decide to build a doubler.
