208 to 241 t-case swap??

in an 86 K5 is the 241 from a 90 a DIRECT swap in. i know the 241 is a slightly improved version of the 208 but need to know if there are any mounting changes, shifter etc. before i get into this. thanx , crossy

Direct swap but a 1990 241 will be electric speedo. The only year of 241 with mechanical speedo is 1989. The parts are not interchangeable from the 208 before you even ask.

I'm doing the same swap...mine's in pieces waiting for availble funds to buy the JB conversions SYE kit.

Slip Yolk Eliminator. Basically gets rid of the slip yoke in favor of a fixed yoke, so you don`t accidently have the rear driveshaft come out of the slip yoke too far and damage anything.
