Made it to Moab around 3:45 last night after suffering multiple tow rig break downs... Winds up my Tahoe makes a great tow rig! 73 C30 dually broke down, and my goose neck is just big enough to fit it. Pulled the 7000lb load about 100 miles with my Tahoe to get us to town. Did great! Can't wait to get out on the trails and meet everyone!

what broke on the c 30 ? hope it don't take me 7+hrs to get to moab from ogden ! hopefully it's the last time you pull blazenzuke this weekend :haha:

What I get out of this is,,,,, c30 broke, put it on gooseneck, towed it with a tahoe:thinking: I think I have finally figured out what really went down. but the first post had me baffled:haha:

How do you pull a gooseneck with a Tahoe?

Yea I'm not getting how they towed a gooseneck trailer with a tahoe which in an suv :dunno:.

I think the tahoe was on the gooseneck and became a tow rig when the c30 failed, Am I right russell:dunno: I'm just kinda shooting in the dark:D

 We had an 8" drop hitch that we flipped upside down and fitted with a gooseneck ball. The safety chains didn't quite reach though....

holy chit that was some thinkin:eek1: I guess I've seen most everything now:bow:

Won't be long til that pic makes the rounds but great thinking on quick. Any clue what happened to the c30?

You guys can't be serious thinking we pulled a C30 on a 4800lb gooseneck behind a Tahoe!? Haha! Just messing with you guys! The Tahoe does hold the goose just fine on a 2" trailer ball on a flipped 8" drop hitch for a funny picture though!

The C30 broke down, kicked the Tahoe off the goose and put the C30 on it instead. I then pulled the rig and trailer that was behind the C30 with my Tahoe. My rated towing capacity stock is 7000 on top of the weight of my truck so I was at capacity but with all the 1 ton brakes, deep gearing and the diesel / 4l80e I had no trouble running 60mph with it comfortably. Truck barely broke a sweat.

Heres a more sexier one Dave sent me:thumb:

And dave found the C30 as well lol.

you got me! :doah: I was looking at that first pic trying to figure out how in the hell you pulled that off without breaking everything. :eek1:

glad the fun has started! :pimp:

Well, just pulled in at home up in a very chilly Canukistan. I should have guessed it'd be a rude shock going from mid 80s to mid 30s overnight, LOL

Wow it really did make the rounds, russels tahoe was a champ as far as pulling horton and the c30 suffered a case of idiocy, from me

Glad to hear you made it home Russ

Hey russ could you please elaborate on these 2200 km's you speak of???
