My buddy is going to put my 6.2 diesel in his 91 2wd 1500. He's building a MPG machine. The 6.2 I have is out of a 1985 cucv with a 24 volt system. I know I read an article in FOUR WHEELER about converting the 24 volt to 12 volt. Well I can't find the article anymore and was wondering If you guys could point out some good links for the conversion (non-membership). I think the only thing that is really 24v is the starter. Is this correct or am I way off? Thanks a million.....

Do a search, someone asked a similar question about the 24 -> 12 volt conversion not long ago. There was a link in the thread about just how to do it.

Off the top of my head all of the ignition system is 24v. The starter, glow plugs, glow plug relay, battery system, etc etc etc in the ignition system is 24 volt.
