I've read quite a bit about both transfercases.
It seems fairly simple:
241 has lower 4L gear (2.6:1 vs 2.7:1) something like that and
241 can do an SYE kit. The 208 can also, just more involved
My questions are:
Is doing a straight swap-over worth it? Meaning swapping them and nothing more. Just a base question.
I will be doing a shackle flip. I want to take advantage of it and keep the pinon pointed at the T-case. This means a new driveshaft, which I plan on getting both f/r anyway. Sooo, doing an SYE kit....Is it worth it for the longer D-shaft? If I keep the 208, I can still do a CV jointed shaft from HAD. If I do an SYE kit, this means new shaft and a 241 case.
Also, I'm clocking the T-case. I have a body lift and clocking ring ready. If I do the clock and order a new front driveshaft for the 208.......will it still work after installing a 241 in the clocked position?
thanks
