i am at the point of purchase of a Slip yoke eliminator kit for my NP 241. I have seen part numbers with a joint connection and some with a flange. Which should i get? i have D60/14b FF. i am planning a future gen 3 swap but this purchase will be at the same time as a leak repair on the 241. What should i do? Thanks y'all!

Basically you want a flange if you'll run a CV joint and yoke if you'll run a standard single cardan shaft.

yeah, flange it. Maybe even flange it with a regular joint shaft too, just so you aren't worried about loosing cups and bearings.

When I did mine, I got some of the kit from JB Conv and then got the flange from High Angle Driveline. From what I remember, his flange was the best one to use and the JB came with one unless you specified that you didn't want one. I saved some $ that way. Still came out to like $400 I believe

BTW, I updated my above linked thread, but you cannot use the stock front 241 (and I assume 208) flange with the JB kit. The JB output is not long enough to get the nut on. Local driveline guy machined the flange center out so that there was enough thread to get the nut on there.

Been long enough I can't remember if JB offers slightly longer outputs. I want to say I needed 3/4", but I wouldn't trust my memory on that one.

I don't understand the big deal LOL
I ordered a TomWoods SYE kit and driveshaft for the 208. Everything worked.
Bought a 241, then bought a complete JB kit. Installed and done. 1350 flange I think
What's the big deal with just ordering a complete kit? Mine is about 5 years old

Trying to remember why I didn't want the flange they were selling. Might have been due to the overall cost of using their flange and/or maybe the hassle of finding the matching CV? Really not sure to be honest, I can't recall.

Same Here, I bought the complete kit for like $470. I have the JB flange and everything bolts up just fine.
