Found 241 vss housing

That’s what I hope. I went to a lot of different places only one place said they would do it for $350
It's crazy what some people think is reasonable.
My guy was working on my trailer floor for half a day and used some aluminum scrap he had on top of what I brought and he felt bad charging me $250
That was a reefer trailer floor that has 1.25" grooves and he was tig welding it in 100 heat.
Too bad he's gone now.
I could use someone with his skills and price

Its too expensive to be an insured welder with any kind of professionalism like a shop to take it to or mobile tig. If it isnt 350 minimum, its not worth the effort for the time it takes.

Being that replacement part is more scarce than 350 bucks, it might be worth it to repair.

Yeah I thought I would ask around before getting it welded up

I’m pretty sure they dropped it went to a junkyard I haven’t been too they also had the whole truck on a frame but it was held up by the driveshafts
I just checked. I have 3 241s here, but they are all speedo cable housings. Only VSS housing I have is on the blazer. :(
