Ok guys, I'm in panic mode right know!

when I asked Greg Ducato about the VSS for the trans, he said you would generally use an out put speed sensor on the Transfercase so the trans will operate correctly in 4x4 low range. he said it would be pretty easy to convert the 241 to VSS when the Transfercase is apart for the input gear swap?

Will it be easy to covert to VSS?
and how?

Transfercase is from a 1989 K-5 Blazer, mechanical speedometer.

I will be using the Holley Terminator X Max System which will control the trans.

You simply need the VSS parts to take the place of the speedometer drive housing. Tone wheel, housing, sensor and plug.

FYI, I sold just the mechanical speedometer housing and related parts off of an '89 NP241 on ebay and pocketed $135. It's one year only stuff.

VSS is 90-91. The 89 is the hardest one to find.

The mechanical vs. VSS parts on a 241 are a direct interchange. I've personally done this swap when converting an '89 mechanical speedo 241 over to a VSS style to go in a '90 K5.
