24V to 12V conversion

is this the best way to go to convert my m1009 to a 12V system?
i am thinking of using the first way to go.

i will have to check, but i believe my m1008 is already converted.

That's the one I usually see referenced over on Steel Soldiers.

I was going to do the conversion but then decided the setup works fine now...I'll wait until after something in the 24v system goes and I have to start replacing expensive parts.

I wasn't going to change mine over, but a relay went bad and fried my starter before I could get it disconnected. I changed over to 12 volt and installed a gear reduction starter from DB Electronics. I haven't had any problems and it's been swapped over for more than a year.

I went with the first swap process.
