I need to know what size gas tank do I have. I've never been able to fill it over 25 gallons, but all listing even GM say for my 1988 Blazer I have a 31 gallon.

Thanks, Ed

Does it have a skid plate under the gas tank?

If so a 31gal tank would be real close to it. If it's a 25gal take, you'd have about a 1" gap like mine does.

Even if I run it down past "E" I don't end up putting in more than 20-21gal.

Yes is has a skid plate under the gas tank. LMC truck does not list a 88 with a 25 gallon tank and neither does GM.

i asked one time on hear in the garage. thay basicly told me if the 2 halfs of the tank are same higth then 25 gal. if bottom is taller than top half then 31 gal tank.

To put it this way, i've seen alot of blazers over the years and i've only seen one 25 gallon tank. This would lead me to believe that you probably have a 31 gallon tank, but now that i've said this you'll end up with a 25 gallon tank. :rotfl:

you can run completely out of gas and still have a few gallons in the tank.the pickup is an inch or so off the bottom of the tank. i never get more than 28 gallons in mine, and thats with driving til the engine stalls.

my 88 k5 has a 25gal tank, its annoying, im lookin into a 40gal tank eventually along with diesel swap
