Will new stock vortec valvesprings work with a 260H Comp cam?

Everything I've read so far seems to say they will be fine, but I thought I'd run it by you all here first.

Thanks,

Scott

looks like the votecs can handle ~.460 lift and the cam is .440 lift. id make sure to run 1.5 ratio rockers and youd be fine.

now that i think about it, isn't the vortec a roller motor? if so the valve springs would be too weak.

a new set of Z28 springs are cheap and good to .500 lift, i run these springs with a comp XE262H

Yeah, the weakness of the springs is what I was concerned with. I don't want to start floating valves the first time I rev up past 4k

Is this a roller cam? Need more info on what you have already and what your installing to say what works.....
George

Sorry, no it is a flat tappet cam,
260 adv dur,
212 @ .050
440 lift
110 lobe seperation

the heads will be new stock assembled vortec heads.
engine is being rebuild .020 over w/flat top pistons.

I'm not sure what other info you might need...

I think the heads as is wi9ll be fine.... If you want, compare the ratings that Comp and the General put out for both....
