I want to increase the tire size on the back of my CC, it has 245's on it now, but I have a real good set of 10ply 265's I could put back there. Is there sufficient room between the tires to use them?
Seems the section width is about 1" wider on them than the 245's and empty looks to be no problem, what about loaded? I don't PLAN on a heavy load in the back, mostly just a tag along towing usage.

Any experiences with running 265's on the back. And I guess I would prefer to not use spacers.

I believe the 265's is the most you can use on dually rears, I had the 245's as well and it looks like I could go to 265's as long as they are 10 ply which means stiff and shouldn't bulge too much under moderate load.
And by the way they should be .8" wider which means you will have half of that on each side, which means you will lose .8" gap in between the 2.
If you have 1" now I would run them, if you have less than an inch, maybe not.

I'm running 235s and they touch a little at the bottom. Man, I'm thinking spacers would be needed.

those are 235/85's right?

I have 265's on my dually they fit fine

I was thinking it looked like enough room too. These tires (Goodyear Duratracs') seem to have a little wider section width than some other 265's I've got though...guess I'll just have to put em on and see.
