26k or 36k BTU auxiliary heater in Burb?

The heater will be in the back. I"ll run the lines along the frame - just like the factory rear heaters do.

I have yet to see a factory heater in a burb always wanted one but have yet to find one not sure how far back I would put it the heat loss would be alot that far back. I was thinking of doing something behuind the front seat in the console area

I've picked up used factory ones for $20. I think they are rated at 8000btu or so. It's basically a box with a fan and a heater core in it, typically mounted near the passenger side rear barn door. The squirrel cage fans are more efficient at moving air than conventional fan which is what these OEM heaters have.

Depending which part of the country you live in, you can also find these same box heaters in the rear of Dodge, Chev, and Ford full size vans. Also big and small school buses have them mounted under a seat near the middle or back of the bus.

36,000.

You can always turn it down if it gets too hot.

Also, to minimize the heat loss, (which I don't personally think will be tooo much), use some of the copper pipe insulation from home depot or the like.

Buddy

you can have mine! I ripped it out of the burb. Well it never really work and gets beat to hell when packing cargo.

The standard heater works good enough for me and mine.
