Need to get new tires for our Suburban and would like to upsize. Right now, it has 235/85-16 and it looks funny with pizza cutters.

Was thinking about going with 285/75-16 and wanted to know if they would fit without rubbing as I have no lift.

It seems that others have gone bigger, but I wanted to check with the minds around here.

what type of burb, and what year, there is a bunch out there.

Should be no problem, some people here run 33's no problem. I have dunlop rover maxx tractions on my dmax 285/75/16 they measure 32.5"

I run 285/75/16 on my dmax as well. Maybe I will pull them off and put them on the suburban and see how I like it. If I like them I can leave them and buy something else for the dmax or get a takeoff set of wheels of craigslist.

should fit but going off road may rub a lil bit.also may rub full lock on the steering.we put 35s on my buddys burb and they fit but hitting bumps they would rub.so a 285 or 33 inch equivilant should fit fine.if you take it off road, you can chop the fenders a lil bit and make room for the suspention to cycle.we took and cut the rear fender back to the inner fender on his burb and also trimmed the front bumper overhang and would fit better.

They'll fit just fine.

I have 305/70R16 muds on 16x8 rims with 4" of backspacing on The Blazer and that's with 203,000 mile saggy springs. Only slight rubbing on the lower rear edges of the front fender when turning and compressing the front suspension. 5 minutes with an air saw would solve it but I'm going to rebuild the springs first.
285's on stock rims would fit even better. I kind of wish I had gone with 285's.
