Thanks to FWP for coming out and donating his hard earned cash. Also, thanks to Embry Riddle 4x4 Club for coming out and bringing the ramp and monster jeep truck.

every time I see your rig I wonder if you are thinking about bigger tires. Just seems like you've got plenty of room for at least some 40" MT/Rs.

i spent all my money on suspension...

I keep running into the 315 75 r16 MTRs for so cheap...
I'll probably bite into some 17 inch rims and some desert racing tires in the 37 inch variety first.

40MTRs are really quite expensive... I'm kinda waiting them out to see if they will lessen in price. Remember when 37s were super expensive? Plus I only have 4.10s in the diffs right now... and I havent really been held back by my tires so far.

The 40's should fall after the first of the year. BFG is supposed to release the 39" krawler for retail in feb/march. Goodyear will have to compete heavily. BFG also has a newer MT (similar to the krawler but road worthy) coming out soon too. It was at SEMA. It should be awsome and in 37's with a rumor of 40's depending on sales and demand.

The blazer is lookin' good.

thanks!

I narrowed the cowl/firewall by about 8 inches total. I cut out the rocksliders and flipped them over and swapped them over to opposite sides. I also mounted the sliders to the frame and mounted the plexiglass. Its not as windy when I drive anymore, except when the windshield is off.

Thanks for the compliment. The track bar was fixed by 4wheelers Supply because R.E.D.com is swamped with production right now. RED paid for it all. Way better design and I was told that it shouldnt happen again by Rob in the fab shop. We discussed Lee and Howe hydro assist systems and that really is my next plan of attack. I want high speed compatability and the system from Lee or Howe is about 1200 ( one must buy the pump and steering box needs to be ported / valved?) Rob used all kinds of jargon that went over my head but he knows his shiznit.

I also am planning on mounting some boatec fiberglass fenders in the rear to make it look like a "truck" and avoid hiway patrol stops. This will all be quick release flanges etc. so it will be easy to convert back to crawler.

Goodyear won't have to lower the price when the new Krawlers come out. Afterall 35" Krawlers cost about the same as 40" MT/Rs for god sakes. I'd love to try Krawlers but no way I'm blowing that much money on a 37" tire. Heck when the 39s come out I'd sooner spend the money on 42" IROKs.

here are some pics prior to my surgery on the blazer. What do you guys think? better?
