I'm thinking about adding a second bench seat in the blaze. One that I can take in and out easily. This way the whole family can ride. Has anyone done this if so how?
Thanks brett

I was thinking about doing the exact same thing! :)

It seems simply enough. I would mount the second seat facing the rear of the truck (backwards) so kids could get in via the tailgate. I think all you have to do is drill two holes for the front edge seat hinge mounts, then put in a threaded receptacle, and then cut two more holes for the rear seat latch which goes into the floor. Measure first, of course.

I don't know how to mount any more seat belts, though, to the roof of the cab. You may have to remove the seat belt cover and see if there is a way to mount two seat belts to the roof and still be safe.

Ok then- now lets find the bench seats. In my truck the seatbelts are bolted to the floor. I need to order a new one for the left side anyway so why not get two more for the new seat.
Let me know if you have any good ideas.

Okay...can't remember where I saw it but I want to say back in the day...70's or so?...there was a dealer or aftermarket 3rd seat setup like what you guys are discussing. I seem to remember it facing backward in the cargo area. No clue on the spare tire or how the seatbelts mounted.

Makes me think of all the dealer only installed stuff there used to be. The rear window wing, external tire carrier, roof rack, etc.

got a really simple idea. y not just go to the local junk yard and pick up a third row seat out of a burb, then just have them torch out all the recever cups out of the floor. that way if u didnt need it u could take it couplete out. thats what i would do if i where u.
