2nd Gen LED Tail Light ::UPDATE:|:PICTURES::

Received the following e-mail today (4/3/04):

<font color="green">Folks,
We have finished the development of the 73-87 Chevy LED Tail Lights. We
currently have a limited supply of units on hand and depending upon demand,
additional units will be manufactured over the next several months.

The price per set is $125.00 plus shipping and handling. If you will call
my office number below and speak with Debbie Aldridge or Jeff Clausius,
your order will be taken and units shipped.

This is a first come first served offer. Once the units we have are sold,
it will be about 30 days before the next units will be available.

If anyone would care to post this on the K5 message board please feel
free....

Sincerely,

I got a email from Randy yesterday. He's hooking me up with a free set cause I was the one who first contacted him about them. Pretty cool of him in my opinion. I'll post pics as soon as I get them.

Can you post some pics of one installed and the other just a regular bulb? One pic like that at night and one during the day?

Also, what are you going to be doing with a free set and no K5 to put them on /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

[/ QUOTE ] The K5 hasn't sold yet. If I don't get what I want out of it, I'll keep it. Yeah, as soon as I get the LED tail light, I'll do one side and takes some pics so y'all can see the difference.

I hope you can get them and install them soon because Randy doesn't have any pics yet. The latest e-mail I received from him on 4/4:

<font color="green">A couple of guys who tested them for me are going to post some picture after they are installed in their trucks.

Hopefully that will happen soon.

Got my LED tail lights. Installing them is is just like changing a bulb. I'll take some pics as soon as I get someone over to step on the break pedal for me while I'm behind the K5 with a camera. /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

would be interested to see some real-world test results comparing how much power is required to run the factory bulb vs those 50-60 LEDs...
