It's been awhile since I've been behind the wheel of a K-5, my last being my 84 Blazer K-20. The new truck I have picked up thats now in my sig. I'm just wondering where to start on the mods. I want the truck to be as efficient as possible cause its my new DD, hence I'm wondering about swapping a TPI in place of the TBI, and I was wondering if anyone is running the Hooker long tubes and the Hooker header back 2 1/4 exhaust and if it sounds good. Whats on it now is the stock manifolds and 2" pipe with glass packs that exits behind the rear tires and it sounds like crap:doah:. Any help is greatly appreciated this may be my first post, but i guarantee that it will not be my last. Hello to all.

TPI will be great if you can take the time to do it right and get all the bugs worked out. As for headers and duals, go for it! I've been running the Hooker dual kit for a couple years, no complaints.

Thanks brother, got the TPI system off a 89 305 Firebird that can sit for awhile tho first thing is that exhaust. Just got to wait for leave to start since I'm out in Afghanistan right now. But, I definately got a good deal on the truck being only $2000.
