so say i had a free '99 Vortec 5.7l mated to a 2wd 4L80E to swap into my suburban... would throwing a divorced NP205 behind it be a decent idea? building a cross member to mount it wouldn't be too hard, ive got nothing but time and i can build **** well enough. ive got the engine, trans and all the wiring/computers, still mounted in the truck, parked next to my suburban. so money spent on the t-case and extra driveline work is made up for IMO. it doesn't have a slip yoke and the tail shaft is actually surprisingly short. the truck is a long bed, 2 piece drive line so i could even have the existing one chopped down to use as the in-between shaft. i'm thinking it would be fairly cheap, simple to build and make for equal length drive lines. i'm having a hard time finding reasons not to go for it.

not comon i see them on ebay and pirate a lot.

and dont forget the farmers buddy internatinal . thay used a lot of divorced 205 stuff. and its pass side drop also .

i have one and all the brackets . and there frames were 34" wide same as ours also .

and divorced 205 = 32 spline all inputs/outputs.

Oh yeah, I forgot about the corn binders. I'll keep an eye out for t-cases, unless someone wants to sell me one...

Forward air isn't too expensive last time I shipped something. 100 bucks for 150 pounds. Just hats build a pallet for it and strap it down good.

i do have a lot of shipping around me .

zip is 14845 and i know of ups / fedex / yellow / overnight / and few others. and i can do buissness with forklift for pickup if need be.

and i could have it shipped to my shop here where we have a forklift. a 205 is somewhere around 170lbs, strapped to a pallet... hmm. i''m gonna do some checking on shipping. :pimp:

i'm looking around locally to find a 205 that will work. if not i'll start looking into shipping. the registration on the chevy is due next month, i think its time to rip out that engine/trans...
