2wd 7004r to doubler?

Can I use a 2wd 700r4 to a 203/205? I think the only difference between the 2wd and 4wd 700r4 is the rear adaptor and the output shaft. I already have a TH350 to 203 adaptor and will need to changeout the 7004r rear shaft anyways. So is there any reason I can't use a 2wd trans? Any other potental problems?

You can use the trans as is with the exception of pulling the tail housing off and using the techpak fitzall spacer (7Q-35A) , or you can swap to the short shaft from AA.
