2wd 700R4 to NP241

cutting .75" of the end of the shaft, (thus making the splines the same length as a 4wd) and the 1.75" spacer with the stock adapter.

the spacer is the same as what people use for the 700/np205 and the th350 to bolt inplace where a 700r4 was.

part number is 7Q35A. i used to be able to get them, not sure if i still can or what the cost would be. if you do a search on this number (here and google), it lists a few places that you can get them from.

BTW: you would need to shorten the rear drive shaft and lengthen the front if your replacing a 4wd tranny.

not replacing a 4x4 tranny, bolting a transfer case to the back of the 4L60E in my 93. got to thinking, after i find the drivers side drop 241 for my 92, i'll have a spare Chevy Dana 44 with 4.10s in it and a passenger side drop 241. i'm seriously considering SFAing my 93 when i get the 92 up and running, making my own brackets using the Sky brackets as a guide, and making mine shorter, so i'd be able to accomidate a 6" lift and run 35s. should make for a reasonable driver i would think.

oh yeah, thanks for contributing to my madness. :doah: :haha:
