2wd and 4wd rear axles the same?

Now I am prettry sure they are, but I need the list hel p to be sure. Are the spring perches in the same location on say a 2wd 14-bolt and a 4wd 14-bolt? That is to say do the rear leaf spring have the same spacing in both chasis?

Anyone want to tell me I am right or wrong?

All GMC 1/2 and 3/4 ton rear diffs should have the shock mounts and spring plates in the same locations.

I have never heard of them being different for a 2WD vs 4WD

Yes they are the same -- spring perches and all..
