i know we love our basic anti wrap bar's here for the rear of our rigs.

but if we were to want same control in say a 2wd and lowered around 3" if it all fit in there with no rubbing or clerence problems would it be the same basic install setup ?

reason i ask is i am running stock 3 leaf + overload 1/2 ton rear springs in my 2wd project. then 4.11 rear with posi and stock 300hp 5.3 ls swap and the 4l60e to go with it.

want control and good ride so before i spend the cash on the parts i figure why not just ask .

and if i was to use 2" square tube and not round d.o.m tube what wall thickness would be good ?

4 link and coils...FTW. Better ride, better control, easier to adjust ride height.

I dont see why making one needs to take up alot of room. Weld a vertical piece if square stock to the axle and put heims on the top of the stock and one on the axle tube. Run itf up somewhere that you can mount a shackle. I think you should be able to make one that tucks up high and away from everything. Theres no gas tank in the middle on your rig so you could run it real close to the pig and have the shackle on the tranny crossmember

A "single arm" anti wrap bar on a 2WD makes as much sense as tits on a teddy bear...

Single arm design is to mitigate inherent bind due to the wierd arc leaf spring suspension does as it cycles. Then add in the twist when the suspension articulates. All of this really only applies to a leaf sprung 4WD. A 2WD never really has to articulate, and the amount of travel needed is much less. For the work involved in building an anti wrap bar, you'd be most of the way through building a simple four or five link set-up...and having a much better set-up for the intended purpose.

Well if you go to that why not just 2 old school ladder bars. One on each side. Shouldnt let the axle wrap at all. If suspension cycling doesnt matter then they would work fine imo.

You need a floater with leaf springs and a ladder bar or it will bind.

Ive never experienced wheel hop on a leaf sprung 2wd chevy. They would just spin and never hop,

But then again never ran super grippy tires.

If anything, a bar from the axle parallel with springs to the front would limit wrap if thats a problem. Almost like a cal track bar

Same setup but could be simplified. Don't need to worry about artiulation so much if its a street queen kinda thing.
