2wd box for crossover steering....

can a C20 box be used from the same year truck, i got a good 86 C20 box that would be perfect to do crossover with if i can use it.....if not, no problems, what box should i be using if i cant use this one......



.....and i hate to say this on here but this is one place fords do shine cause all you got to do is turn the arm 180* and its good to go on a 70's leaf truck and the coil trucks and trucks after 1980 already had factory "crossover" in the inverted Y setup......

Yup, should be the same part for a c10 and c20 so long as neither or both are hydroboost.

Sure, the steering might be convenient, but then you're stuck with the rest of the truck being a ford.

when i tally up my problems the bowties always seem to be the highest number......and ive owned the lowest amount of them......

Why does it make a difference if the box is from a hydroboosted truck? I've got an 83 C30 non hydro box that I plan on putting in my 86 M1008 with hydroboost. They look exactly the same on the outside. Is there internal differences?

My 2wd box was from a hydroboost truck and the old one wasnt hydroboost and it has worked perfectly for months.

It doesn't. I have a 2wd box from a truck without hydraboost on my K30 with hydraboost.

I didn't think it would make a difference, I just had too ask so it's one less thing to worry about when I start my build...

works for me then.........all i got to find is a 60 for the front and buy the lift and steering and ill be ready to go.......i got my FF 14 bolt setting ready to go......
