2wd box?

any suggestions on which year 2wd box to use for x-over? or it doesn't matter?

Doesn't really matter - I just got a sector shaft when I did mine - and swapped it for the 4x shaft.

I used a 2wd box from a 78'. I don't think it matters what year, just look at the line fittings on the box because the did change over the years. Not exactly sure when but they could be inverted flare, compression, or metric. Again, not sure what years.

Input shaft size changed around 75/76 for the steering boxes.

Find out what your running currently and duplicate.
