I'm about to buy a crossover steering conversion for my K10 that I will be lifting 8". I was talking to Chris at ORD and told him that I wished I hadn't just recently replaced my steering box because now I've got to put a 2WD box in it if I want to go with crossover. He said I could swap out the sector shaft because that's all that's really involved. However there are important adjustments that need to be made and I'd need to consider that.

Does anyone have experience with this or links they can point me to for help? I remember a long time ago a guy (or HACK should I say) that I worked with tried to show me how to adjust my sloppy old steer box and it was never right after that. I'd like to know how to do this right before diving in.

Also, any links for parts? (I'll go let my fingers do some "googling"
now but figured I'd ask in case anyone knows some good vendors).

i have posted how a gm tech 20+ year vet in the buiss showed me how to do it.

search my screen name on this subject.

search sector for the key word. :D and then my screen name .

should be 4-6th result on the results page.

Just to play devil's advocate...

I searched too, with Sweetk30 as the keyword, and did an advanced search of all threads started by you (239 if i remember correctly), scrolled through all of em, and didnt see the thread in question :dunno:
