i ordered my cross over parts from ORD and now need a 2wd steering box. because mine is 20ys old, i am just going to swap the box. can someone post up the year and type veh i need to order the steering box for. after dropping 700+ bones, i just could not afford the ones that they have and want to go with something from a local parts store. thanks….

2WD, same year as yours. The only reason to get the same year is that older trucks have different fittings than newer -- I'm sure someone else will post up the model year split.

Think It's '80 or '81.

1968-1980 1st design uses flare fitting hoses and 1980 2nd design and later use O-ring fitting hoses.

I got a 70's 2wd box, but the fittings on my 81 wouldn't fit. So I just swaped sector shafts and it worked great
