2wd steering box nut

Hit up GM...I think I paid about $7 for it, but they had one on the shelf.

also i think a 60 pinion nut is the same.

A good hardware store should have a nut that big.

If your luck is better than mine...7/8"x14TPI and it's basically a jam nut, not a regular size nut. I'm stubborn, and hit 6 different fastener places before going to GM.

The fastener places around here have the correct size but they are all grade 2. Do yall think that will work for a steering box nut? Just doesnt give me the warm and fuzzy about my steering.

As far as retention a grade 2 would be fine since the taper is really what's holding it once the nut is tight BUT a grade 2 nut won't withstand the 180 ft/lbs of torque required for that nut.
