must be a day for th350 problems.A friend has one in a 1t.dually 2wd that ran for awhile today then lost all forward momentum and end up having it towed home.Once it was unhooked from the tow truck,he started it up and all seemed fine.Drove it down the road and back with no problems.I looked underneath and there is fluid coming from around the modulator valve, coating the bottom of the pan,and looks like it may be coming from the front seal.No leaks from any of the lines, modulator valve is tight, vacuum line from modulator valve is hooked up and routed to full manifold vacuum on the back of the intake between the carb and distributor. He said it was making a "whining" noise.

I'm stumped.I'm trying to convince him to swap over to a 465.I think it would be a better idea. The truck has a flat-bed and he hauls an 18ft.car hauler for hauling scrap.Makes more sense to me to run a manual.

I have no idea what the problem is, but a Th350 is not the correct transmisson for that job. He needs at least a Th400 or a 465.

my thoughts exactly. But I'd steer him toward the 465 just so he has 'ol granny to help him get the heavy loads rollin' easier.
