Gents,
Need your help locating something appropriate. I don't know enough to get into the right "ballpark" on sites like RockAuto.com, etc.
I need to buy two unit bearings.... something strong and as compact in size as possible. Could be Chevy, Dodge, etc... don't really care.
Ideally, I'd like a good quality bearing set (Timken, etc) and I don't need the sensor wires for ABS. Wheel lug pattern and/or mounting flange pattern doesn't matter either (5-lug, 6-lug, etc)...
So basically I just need some help with some part numbers or vehicle application that might fit the bill. I was trying to search on older 2WD Chevy Trucks (1500 / 2500) since I figure those would be strong enough for this project, but most of the stuff I find has ABS sensors and run around $130 - $150 ea. I'm not sure if finding a non-ABS unit bearing would be cheaper or not, since the ABS stuff is so common now.
Any ideas or leads would be appreciated.
