The local picknpull wants $13.49 for them, I'll take $20 for them. They'll fit in a small flat rate so it's around $5 I think to ship anywhere in the US.

Here's a non-variable ratio on the left and a variable ratio on the right. They aren't interchangeable so you need to know which one you have. However, I don't think I've ever seen a non-variable in a GM, but a lot of Fords I've messed with were non-variable.

Bump $25 shipped to your door, have one of each type ready to go. These have the lockwasher and jamb nut too. Much easier than swapping a whole steering box out for crossover.
 
interested in one...not sure which one I have, but it looks like non-varitable.

Yup, that's a non-variable. The two outer teeth on the variable ratios are smaller than the center tooth.
 
onetobb74,when you say "Much easier than swapping a whole steering box out for crossover." are you saying you can put a 2wd sector shaft in a 4x4 steering box for crossover steering?
 
yes, exactly, its really easy. Make sure you put a drain pan underneath the sector shaft, all the fluid in the box comes out...

Ya, it's a hell of a lot easier than holding that heavy box up there while you're trying to line up bolts, not to mention it's a whole bunch cheaper than a whole box. The only issue is that you technically should disconnect the steering shaft and adjust the sector shaft depth by measuring the rotating resistance at the input (similar to pinion bearing preload). However, I know most people aren't that thorough about it and it usually doesn't cause any problems. It's pretty easy to adjust and just rotate the input by hand and you'll be able to feel the sweet spot pretty easily.

One thing I've been considering is if the sector shaft from some other boxes such as some ford trucks and the 88-98 trucks is the same. I know a lot of the old Ford vans have the same sector shaft as us. A lot of the 80s Fords and the 88-98 trucks have the same type of pitman arm splines, but they're keyed 45* off from the ones we use. There's actually a ton of pitman arms that would fit well with our frames for crossover that are keyed that way, so if we could just swap in a sector shaft with those keys, we might have some more options.
